Bonner County is located in the panhandle of North Idaho on the norther shore of Lake Pend Oreille and the foot of the Selkirk Mountains. The City of Sandpoint sits on the north edge of the lake and is accessed by way of Long Bridge on Hwy 95, which crosses the  west arm of the lake, or by way of Hwy 2 from Spokane, WA which follows along beautiful Pend Oreille (pronounced Pon-duh-ray) is the largest natural body of fresh water in Idaho and one of the largest lakes in the Western United States. Shaped like an ear, the lake's name is derived from an Indian tribe, when they called French trappers "Pend O'reille," because they wore pendant ornaments in their eare lobes. The lake is more than 43 miles in length and 6.25 miles in width at its widest point and has more than 111 miles of shoreline. The Sandpoint landmark is known for its outstanding fishing and boating and is home to a variety of fish, including world record size Kam loops and Mackinaw. You can also enjoy hiking and picknicking along the shoreline.  Sandpoint is blessed with a four season climate that is more moderate than that found further east in the Rockies. There is neither extremely hot, nor extremely cold weather.

Sandpoint's beginnings as a ski town go back to 1963 when Schweitzer opened with one chair-lift. Today Schweitzer Mountain has become a year round resort with skiing, boarding, cross county skiing and snow mobiling in the winter. Today the mountain boasts 2500 acres of terrain, a new lodge, 8 lifts and tows, including the spectcualr Stella a high-speed siz pack chairlift.

We offer several homes. A 4 bedroom home right in Sandpoint with a private dock and lake access. A 1 bedroom cabin on the lake front located in Sagle just across long bridge just perfect for honeymooners!  We also offer a cozy 3 bedroom cabin with spectacular lake and sunset views in the neighboring area of Hope and a 3 bedroom located in Bayview  with a clear view of the lake and the Monarch Mountain range. This home also offers a private boat slip just steps away  from the property on a community dock that is shared with 3 other neighbors located in a private marina and boat launch nearby. A large 5 bedroom lodge style mountain home on Schweitzer, and a cozy studio on the mountain with amazing views of the slopes.

All of our homes are available year round with a 4 night minimum. They are furnished with all linens, towels, stocked kitchen, Cable TV, DVD, and telephone for local calls. Our homes are all located within minutes to all that this area has to offer! Snow skiing, hiking, site seeing, day trips, lake fishing, and boating!!
